Student Union

When you join Havant Sixth Form College, you’ll automatically become a member of our Student Union (SU). Run entirely by students, the SU executive committee organises social events for you right through the year. On a more serious note, they also represent you at meetings with the Principal and College Corporation, so your views get heard by the people with the power to change things.

A packed social calendar

The SU organises all our big student events, such as the Christmas Fair and Battle of the Bands and debates; as well as theatre trips, charity fundraisers and other activities.

Getting involved

As a first year student, you can run for President, Secretary, Finance Officer, Publicity Officer, Entertainment Officer, IT Officer, Communications Officer or Student Governor in the SU elections, which are held in the Autumn Term. Serving on the SU committee is a great contribution to College life and it’ll look good on your CV or UCAS application too. The SU is always keen to hear students’ ideas and comments, which regularly appear on the SU page on the College’s virtual learning environment, Moodle, and in student bulletins.

From the Team:

We work hard to be a prominent group within the College. We have our own dedicated website and social media to keep students up-to-date with our news and events. We also have a Student Union Office where we carry out most of our work in a fun and welcoming atmosphere where students can approach us with their ideas or enquiries.
