Introduction

These courses are for those working within a customer focused environment. They are made up of a number of units which are key to working within the demands of the customer service industry e.g. positive communication, presenting a positive image, promoting additional services and products, delivering reliable customer service.

Who is it for?

These courses can be undertaken by those in a variety of customer service roles, such as Contact Centre Operator, Customer Service Adviser, Customer Service Assistant/Manager, Hotel Receptionist, Local Government Customer Services Officer, Medical Receptionist, as well as a variety of management roles.

In order to undertake these qualifications you need to be working either as an employee or as a volunteer.

Your level of qualification will be determined by the job roles you undertake – our staff will provide advice and guidance to select the most appropriate level for you.

The benefits to the learner and employer

These qualifications require individuals to demonstrate competence against National Occupational Standards (NOS) which are based on the needs of the Customer Service sector as defined by the Sector Skills Council. As such they contribute to the development of skilled labour in the sector.

The Level 2 NVQ Certificate and the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Customer Service contribute towards the Apprenticeship.

How will I be assessed?

You will build a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your knowledge and experience. In addition your assessor will undertake a number of observations of you at work, demonstrating your competence.

How much does it cost?

You may be entitled to Level 2 entitlement fee remission if do not already have a full Level 2 qualification (equivalent to 5 GCSE’s A*-C or NVQ2). Please contact the College to discuss your own personal circumstances.

Level 2 £850
Level 3 £1200
Level 4 £1500
