Havant Sixth Form College has a wide range of facilities to offer you. Ample guidance and information is available from our Library & Information Centre, the Student Information Centre and Computing Services & The Flexi Learning Centre.
For entertainment and sport, we have the Studio Theatre, international sized Astro Turf and Sports Hall.
The Campus Shop and Refectory are open throughout term time.
Learning resource centre
The Learning Resource Centre has a wide range of resources and facilities to support you in your learning at Havant Sixth Form College.
As well as a comprehensive Library with a range of reference books, subject texts, periodicals, DVDs and foreign language resources, the Centre also provides two open access areas with computers and a silent study area.
There are 90 high spec computers where students can search online resources, access the internet and use an extensive range of software applications. Many of our online resources can also be accessed from home. Colour and mono printers, scanners and digital equipment are also available. Some equipment, including laptops and digital camcorders, can be borrowed on a short loan basis. The Centre is for research and studying and is a designated quiet area. Additional computers are provided in the Terrace Bar Internet Café for general surfing of the internet.
The Learning Resource Centre is open throughout the year, including College holidays, and has professionally qualified and experienced staff to assist students in developing their IT and research skills.
At Havant Sixth Form College we are continually investing in our computer services and have developed a very stable computer network to cater to the needs of our students. There are currently over 950 networked computers and devices available across the College. Every student has free internet access and email facilities.
There is a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) where you can access your course information and resources, general campus news and social activities.
Studio theatre
The Studio Theatre is utilised throughout the year. It is primarily used for the teaching of Drama & Theatre Studies but also for talks, presentations, concerts and Student Union events.
Sports hall
This modern facility offers a wide range of indoor sporting facilities including badminton, netball, volleyball, basketball and cricket nets.
It is also used to host non-sporting college events such as presentations from guest speakers.
Campus shop
Open regularly throughout term time, the shop is a small but well stocked resource which supplies a wide range of stationery, course texts and equipment at competitive prices. Art and design materials are also available for purchase.
Student information centre
Students can access a wide selection of information, ranging from finance, travel and part-time employment to lifestyle, health and welfare issues.
Our Student Welfare Officer is available to help with personal problems of any kind and we also host a range of visiting organisations offering many different services and advice for our students.
Refectory & food services
The college offers you an exciting range of services. The Gallery Restaurant and Food Court has a welcoming, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. A wide variety of dishes are available, from breakfast and freshly cooked lunches to fast food. Other features include the Pasta Bar, Salad Bar and Yoghurt & Cereal Bar. Frequent "speciality days" offer dishes from around the world and weekly "meal deals" and promotions ensure good value for money.
The Deli Bar offers a variety of freshly baked baguettes filled to order, hot snacks, cakes, fruit smoothies and other beverages in an attractive and relaxed environment. After you've eaten, you can watch Sky TV, play on one of the College's pool and football tables or chill out in the student lounge area.
There is a wireless network within the Refectory area which allows students to access the internet on their own laptops whilst enjoying a snack or drink in their break.
The Terrace Bar is open at peak times to offer a selection of freshly made sandwiches, baguettes, snacks and beverages with a difference.
